About Magnificat

About Magnificat

Magnificat Academy and Choir School, located at St. Paul Catholic Church in Warren, Massachusetts, is a private, independent day school for boys and girls from grades four through twelve. Newly established in 2005, the Academy is committed to providing a thorough and qualitative education in the Catholic classical tradition. Its purpose is to provide a formation that allows students to attain their full intellectual, cultural and spiritual maturity, so as to be prepared for a life of fruitful service in the modern world. This mission is accomplished in partnership with their parents and under the guidance of teachers who share wholeheartedly in the endeavor.

The vision of Magnificat Academy is to educate the whole child through an integrated curriculum that takes into consideration not only the intellect but also the imagination and the heart of each individual student. Through a well-crafted program the teachers strive to foster in the children under their care a sense of enjoyment and wonder in each area of study, as well as habits of studiousness, self-discipline and respect. Their inspiration as educators draws heavily on St. John Bosco, the 19th century Italian priest and educational pioneer, whose method of “reason, religion, and kindness” permeated his schools so thoroughly. At Magnificat Academy teachers follow his lead by championing moral and intellectual strength, with authentic love and joy being the primary motivating forces.
